What is "Pray For Bromley" ?

"Pray For Bromley" was established in July 1999, when the leadership of several Churches in central Bromley supported moves for a joint prayer meeting to pray for issues affecting the town as a whole.

The five churches currently hosting the meetings are:-

The Senior Pastors of these churches have the oversight of the meetings, and take turn to lead them. Members of other churches are very welcome to join with us.

The format is fairly simple. We meet five times a year, rotating both the leadership and the venue, in such a way that nobody leads the meeting in their own church.

In September 2007, Churches Together in Central Bromley agreed to incorporate “Pray for Bromley” under the CTCB umbrella. This serves as an endorsement of the leadership, and their vision of encouraging prayer for our community across church boundaries in Bromley.

We now want to build on this, and to involve churches from across the Borough, on the basis that it is easier for the Central Bromley churches to issue an invitation to other churches to come together to pray in a central location, than it is for churches outside the centre to take on this role. The inspiration for this comes from seeing what the Croydon churches are doing, and you may find their website of interest.
